Quote from the movie Eve's Bayou...which is my favorite.

" The Summer my father said goodnight, I was ten years old, my brother Po was nine and my sister Cisely who had just turned fourteen.
We are the descendants of Eve and John Paul Batiste I was named for her, Like others before me i have the gift of sight. But the truth changes color depending on the light. Tomorrow can be clearer then yesterday, Memory is the selection of images some lucid others printed indelibley on the brain. Each image is like a thread, each thread woven together to make a tapestry of intricate texture and the tapestry tells a story and the story is our past."
